He was a genius, but he still needed financing.
He was a lady's man, but he avoided women.
He was alone with his thoughts, yet world-renowned. Almost everyone has heard of Thomas Edison, the great inventor, but who was NIKOLA TESLA, the greatest inventor? Nikola Tesla was not only the true inventor of radio, but much of our industrialized world was made possible by his inventions. TESLA - The Poet of Electricity explores Nikola Tesla's inventions and his life from 1884, when he arrived in New York City, until 1943, when he died spiritually-broken and poverty-stricken. So smart in the ways of science, yet so impractical in the ways of romance, Tesla believed that "an inventor should not marry because giving himself to a woman would take everything from his chosen field." This belief may have been Tesla's biggest mistake for the one woman who adored him, and who could have financed his dreams of free electrical energy, was Anne Morgan -- daughter of J.P. Morgan, the second wealthiest man alive. TESLA - The Poet of Electricity is a cinematic adventure, a romp across high-society New York in pursuit of high-science America. Never fully dramatized on the silver screen, the true story of Nikola Tesla has been suppressed by the powers-that-be for over a century. It's high time the fruits of this genius-inventor are made known to the world he envisioned, if not created. INTERVIEWS DONATE TESLA The Poet of Electricity SCREENPLAY BUDGET BUDGET
